Laura Scala, Co-Founder – Laura began her fundraising career in 1991, working with the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra in many development capacities, culminating with the appointment as Assistant Director of Development in 1996.  Since then, she has enjoyed a successful career holding senior development positions including; Director of Development for Syracuse Opera, Director of Corporate, Foundation and Government Relations for Syracuse Stage, Director of Development for the Arts Council in Buffalo and Erie County, and Director of Development for the University at Buffalo, Center for the Arts.  In addition to the arts, Laura has worked as a development consultant for healthcare organizations, youth groups, schools, and religious institutions.  Specific responsibilities throughout her career include the creation and implementation of annual fund, membership, major gift, corporate, telefunding, planned giving, and capital campaigns.  In addition, coordination and development of special events, board, staff and volunteer efforts, stewardship programs, targeted grant research and writing, strategic planning, budgeting, marketing, and public relations.  Laura studied Psychology at Syracuse University.  She has also served on boards and as a volunteer for numerous not-for-profit organizations. 
Becky Powell, Esq., Co-Founder – Becky brings many years of fundraising experience to Total Fundraising Solutions, LLC. Most recently, she was Director of Development at the Burchfield Penney Art Center. Before that, she had a seven year tenure as Director of Development and general counsel for the SPCA, where her responsibilities included developing, overseeing and implementing strategies for cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of unrestricted and restricted gifts to the annual fund, the endowment fund, and for capital projects. Before joining the SPCA, Becky raised funds for the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, World Monuments Fund, and the Museum of Modern Art.  She earned a BA in art history from Georgia State University and a law degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
